Membership Eligibility

At NEFCU, we exclusively serve members in the professional sector, including teachers, school employees/volunteers, lawyers, doctors, dentists, accountants, engineers, day care facilities, libraries, as well as their support staffs and families in our local area. Members can also sponsor a member of their immediate family or household.

You’re eligible for NEFCU membership if you’re part of one of these groups:

• Public, private and local university educators and their support staffs – and students of most local Nassau County universities and colleges (Adelphi, Hofstra, Molloy, NYIT, SUNY Old Westbury, CW Post/LIU, and Briarcliffe etc.)
  
• Faculty and staff of all public schools, most private and parochial schools, and all colleges and universities throughout Nassau County
  
• Professional groups and their staff, including Doctors, Dentists, Accountants, Veterinarians, Attorneys, and Architects in Nassau County
  
• Staff of most public libraries, nursery schools, and day care centers in Nassau County
  
• Members of the Nassau County Bar Association
  
• Members of the Nassau County Medical Association
  
• Members of the Nassau County Dental Association
  
• Registered full-and part-time students enrolled at Long Island’s C.W. Post University, Adelphi University, Hofstra, SUNY Old Westbury, NYIT, Briarcliffe College, New York College of Health Professionals, Molloy College, and Webb Institute
  
• Retirees from one of the above groups
